Journalist and Printer. Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., July 19, 1847, son of Dr. James Andrew Blinn Stone, founder of Kalamazoo College and Lucinda Hinsdale Stone, prominent in Michigan women's clubs. After graduating from Kalamazoo College in 1863 he was active in newspaper work, becoming manager and editor of the Detroit Post and Tribune. After selling the paper to James y.
